Art expos, even virtually, are healthy for the human body and mind

Research conducted recently by MacKenzie Trupp and Matthew Pelowski has revealed that virtual art expos could be as beneficial to the human body and mind as real-life galleries and museums.

There are many health benefits of visiting an art museum. Viewing the pieces has been shown to be good for people both physically and mentally, aiding in chronic pain relief and in dealing with stress and anxiety.

According to the results of the research which takes into consideration data from 84 participants, visiting a virtual exhibition can improve moods and lower anxiety levels, amongst other benefits. The study was conducted with the help of researchers at the Max Planck Institutes for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences, and Psycholinguistics and had the Covid 19 lockdown as one of its motivations.
