“Call of Duty” is a popular first-person shooter game

In a surprise announcement, Microsoft revealed that the popular “Call of Duty” franchise could be ported to Nintendo Switch if the acquisition of Activision Blizzard is finalised.

Earlier this year, Microsoft announced the acquisition of game publisher Activision Blizzard for a record $69 billion. The merger has yet to be finalised and it is currently being examined by antitrust authorities.

In the meantime, the US tech giant has not lost time to announce its plans following the acquisition. It is reported that “Call of Duty”, one of the most successful FPS franchises in the world, could be coming to Nintendo Switch. The series has been predominantly thriving on PC systems, Xbox, and PlayStation consoles. Thus, its arrival on Nintendo’s console could be interesting for owners of the gaming system.
