Americans have spent $5.6 billion on video games in March 2021
A new study has revealed that Americans spent more than $5.6 billion on video games in March 2021.
According to analyst Mat Piscatella, who specialises in the world of gaming at NPD Group, the industry has shown an 18% increase compared to the same period last year. Another record concerns the sales of video game hardware with $680 million spent in March of this year. The hardware sector has therefore increased by 81% over the past twelve months.
The number one best-seller in terms of video games is “Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War”. According to Activision, the FPS title has accumulated more than 100 million active players in December 2020.
