“Pokémon” is inspired by a childhood tradition of collecting bugs. This is quite popular in Japan during the summer holidays. According to fans of the gaming series, the enduring appeal of the series is its unique characters and easy-to-learn gameplay mechanics.

In 2020, the mobile game, “Pokémon GO”, experienced a record success. The augmented-reality title has racked $1 billion and experts say that there is no sign that interest in the game is flagging.

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the “Pokémon” franchise, a virtual concert featuring Post Malone was launched. The video currently has over two million views.
