Game companies are launching their own music labels

Music has always been a big part of games and is a major selling point for many titles. However, it is only recently that gaming firms have begun infiltrating the music industry. Let’s take a look at their approach.

Video game music albums have been gaining in popularity, with some even being launched on the vinyl format. Seeing the potential that such a venture has, big gaming companies such as Krafton have launched their own labels.

Named Beat Drop, this music label created by the Korean firm has already dropped one song. It is a remix of “PUBG: Battlegrounds” released by DJ. Mariana BO. Krafton has also dabbled into the world of concerts with a virtual live event featuring BLACKPINK.
