More than 126 million players connect to “Minecraft” each month

The developers of “Minecraft” have revealed that around 126 million players are connecting to the video game on a monthly basis. Furthermore, the title sold more than 200 million copies during the Covid-19 pandemic.

This is a great milestone for “Minecraft” which celebrated its 11th anniversary a couple of days ago.

Mojang, the studio behind the classic building and exploration game has also thanked the players for their dedication towards “Minecraft” during all these years. As part of the game’s anniversary, the studio decided to update its logo. Mojang also added several new contents to “Minecraft”.

Despite the health crisis associated with the Covid-19 pandemic, video games and online viewing of matches on Twitch and YouTube have seen a huge growth.
