xCloud is bringing console games to mobile, tablets and PC devices

Microsoft has announced the beta phase of its project xCloud which will allow players to access Xbox games using their iOS and Android devices.

At this point in time, the trial will be accessible in 22 countries including Britain and France. The aim of Microsoft is to allow games which typically run on consoles to be played on smartphones, tablets and personal computers.

Beta testers will be chosen from the pool of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers. They will receive invitations to try xCloud’s catalogue via Safari, Chrome and Edge web browsers. Microsoft intends to make the trial accessible to all Ultimate Subscribers in the next couple of months.
