Players with disabilities can test Microsoft games

One of the objectives of Microsoft is to make video games more accessible to people with disabilities. From now on, developers can have their project tested on Xbox and PC systems by players with disabilities. The goal is to compile feedback and ideas to improve current gaming titles.

Microsoft has also released the Xbox Accessibility Guidelines which is a compilation of best practices developed in partnership with industry experts and members of the gaming disability community. This guide corresponds to a checklist that must be validated to ensure that a video game is accessible to a person with a disability.

This commitment of Microsoft could turn out to be more than profitable since, according to the ESA Foundation, there are nearly 46 million disabled gamers in the United States alone.
