The “Call of Duty” franchise is developed by three main studios

During its financial report, Activision kept silent regarding the name of the developing studio in charge of making the 2020 iteration of “Call of Duty”.

For the last six years, the development of the “Call of Duty” franchise has been rotating between three different studios.

Infinity Ward is known for creating the “Modern Warfare” sub-series, Treyarch released the “Black Ops” instalments and Sledgehammer lead the “Advance Warfare” and “WWII” projects.

According to the publisher’s planning, 2020 should see a new iteration of “Black Ops” by Treyarch. However, Activision has not given more details regarding the game franchise. It is possible that Activision wishes to create more anticipation for the project.

Nonetheless, the “Call of Duty” series has never been better. Its latest remake of “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare” broke several sales records. Season 2 of the game will also begin soon. It will feature a lot of new content.
